The public voting poll for three special UK Lingerie Awards categories will open on Monday.
Most categories in the UKLA are judged by a panel of experts, but the Great British public will have their say on the winners of the UK’s Favourite Lingerie Brand, the UK’s Favourite Lingerie Retailer and the UK’s Favourite British Lingerie Designer in the second stage of the Awards.
All brands that have nominated themselves for the first stage of the UKLA will be automatically entered into the public vote. Any other labels who wish to be included should email info@uklingerieawards for a chance to win an accolade.
“The first stage of the UK Lingerie Awards allows brands to have their work seen by some of the most well-respected buyers and directors in the industry. However, the public vote gives intimate apparel designers a perfect opportunity to interact with their end consumers,” said Lingerie Insight commercial manager Marianne Trotta.
“Historically, brands that have made it to the final were those who took the bulls by the horns and really promoted the public vote through social media, emails and marketing campaigns,” Trotta added.
This is the first year that consumers will be welcomed to attend the UK Lingerie Awards, so lingerie, swimwear, hosiery and nightwear brands are encouraged to invite them to event, which will take place on December 4 at the Freemason’s Hall in the heart of Covent Garden.
Lingerie Insight editor Sarah Blackman said: “In 2012, the UKLA nomination process developed into a huge social networking event, but with consumers being inviting to the ceremony for the first time, we expect activity to be even greater this year.”
The voting poll will appear on the Lingerie Insight home page on Monday, November 4.
