British hosiery brand Pretty Polly has marked the start of British Summertime by recreating the 1992 image of L’Wren Scott photographed by David Bailey.
Made in Chelsea star and fashion blogger Rosie Fortescue stars in the new campaign, striking a pose in a series of clock-face shots, paying homage to one of Scott’s most famous modelling assignments.
The campaign, which promotes Pretty Polly’s Naturals range, marks the seasonal transition period in the UK from women wearing opaque tights to sheers.
Fortescue commented: "I was honoured to be asked by Pretty Polly to recreate this image, and it certainly was a challenge. Pretty Polly is one of my favourite British brands, and their sheer Naturals range with LYCRA fibre expertly matches my skin tone, I know many women struggle to find the right shade. I love that the nude tights can help create a better than bare look for a summer outfit.”
Pretty Polly managing director David Donnelly said: “We are delighted to work with Rosie on this memorable shot. Rosie is such a classic British beauty, and she stylishly demonstrates how young women can wear Pretty Polly’s Natural tights for summer. We’ve seen a 10% rise in women buying nude tights to complement their skin tone for summer.”
