Alison Baines has worked as the business manager for the Melas Group since 2006.

In that time, she has handled all production issues related to the manufacturing and delivery of Melas’ group of UK hosiery brands: Charnos, Jonathan Aston and Levante, as well as Australian seam-free underwear brand, Ambra, to the company’s warehouse in Nottingham.

As part of her role, Alison also works closely with designers to ensure the brand’s products follow market trends and meet their customer’s needs.

She has also played a significant role in promoting the Melas group of brands through various marketing campaigns and regularly talks to the media about future hosiery trends.

In addition, Alison is proactive in helping managing the team at UK Tights, one of the Melas group’s key accounts.
Endorsing her work, UK Tights managing director Dawn Barber said: “Alison Baines is the one person you can email if any issue comes up and she’ll do everything in her power to sort out.

“She’s always reachable and willing to help the designer and the marketing department within our company. She touches all aspects of the business and she’s efficient and an easy-going person to deal with. Melas couldn’t ask for a better business manager.”

Other key stockists carrying Melas’ group of brands include ASOS, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Fenwick and Figleaves.

Melas Group products are also exported to the US, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, France, Germany, Scandinavia and the Middle East.
