Since becoming the course leader for Fashion Contour five years ago, Catherine Fuller has worked on a range of industry-led student projects and has reacted to extensive industry feedback to ensure LCF graduates are fully prepared to meet the demands and challenges of the fast-paced lingerie industry at all market levels.
Nicola Johnson joined LCF in October 2016 and shares Fuller’s vision for the course; which is to nurture creativity, embrace technology, celebrate innovative approaches to contour design and to ensure that graduates can continue to pursue their own entrepreneurial aspirations and engage in an increasing variety of graduate destinations within the contour and wider fashion industries.
Between them, Fuller and Johnson have nearly 70 years’ of experience within the contour industry at all levels.
During a varied career in design, manufacturing and product development, buying and merchandising and brand development both in the UK and the US, Fuller has worked for major US retailers including Macy’s and Victoria’s Secret.
Johnson joined LCF from Courtaulds, where she was the design director. Prior to this, she was the design executive for Delta Galil, a global manufacturer of private label apparel.
Fashion Contour students have recently worked on design projects with Coco de Mer, Fleur of England and Cromat New York and are currently working on a bridal lingerie project with Debenhams.
Graduates from this course are currently working for a number of prestigious companies, including Marks and Spencer, Agent Provocateur, Gilda and Pearl, Concepts Paris, Edge 0’Beyond, Tesco, Stella McCartney Lingerie, Aura, Playful Promises, Paolita, Debenhams and Ultimo.
