Hannah Isichei is responsible for helping launch one of the most followed lingerie brands on social media, recording over 200,000 fans.
A self-titled curvy girl, Isichei had a dream to create a fuller-bust lingerie range that offered a fashionable and fun element.
She studied Fashion Marketing at Nottingham Trent University and after two years of learning crucial marketing and branding elements, was able to develop her lingerie dreams through her final year project.
After leaving University she emailed an intimates etailer, Brastop.com, and asked if they needed help to expand the business by adding a marketing element – which they jumped at.
In 2009, the Brastop team decided to develop and launch a new D plus lingerie range, after seeing a gap in the market for fashionable, fitted D plus bras.
Since then Isichei has helped conjure up inspirational and thought-provoking campaigns – each one striving to boost body confidence and encourage diversity.
These include the annual Star in a Bra competition, which has seen thousands of lingerie-loving consumers enter to become Curvy Kate’s customer role model.
In 2015, Curvy Kate launched new brand Scantilly – a fearless collection of boudoir lingerie for the D-K customer. The brand is now available in 60 accounts worldwide, an increase of 46% on 2015.
In June 2016, the brand launched what could be the world’s most inclusive campaign to date, using a diverse range of women to model the latest collection.
The campaign, named #theNewSexy, introduces eight female role models, including a woman with alopecia, a transgender woman, an amputee and a recovering anorexic.
