A British triathlon athlete will wear post-operative lingerie and swimwear by Vanilla Blush when she takes part in Ironman UK next month.
Caroline Bramwell, who has a stoma, has hailed the brand for its supportive designs that have helped her through training.
“When it comes to my training, it’s important that I am properly supported to minimise the chance of developing a hernia, and finding Vanilla Blush was a dream,” she said.
“VB’s sporty supportwear not only gives my abdomen the support it needs, but also allows my everyday clothes to look their best with no sign of my ostomy.”
Vanilla Blush and Trio Health Care have agreed to sponsor Bramwell for Ironman UK, which will take place in Bolton on July 17.
The event involves a 2.5 miles swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a marathon.
Nicola Dames, chief executive at Vanilla Blush said: “Whether Caroline was a big fan of Vanilla Blush or not, I would still be a big fan of her.
“This adds to the fact that I am just so proud that she loves the sporty supportwear we produce, because, when it comes from an athlete that we can actually minimize the chances of her developing a hernia, or even offering great support in the event of someone having a hernia, then we know we are doing things very well.”
