One of the UK’s leading digital retailers of lingerie and fashion brands has reported a bumper first half of the 2018 financial year with £24m revenue growth compared to last year.
N Brown Group, which has a brand portfolio including Simply Be, JD Williams and Jacamo, has recorded revenues of £453.4m for the first six months of the financial year, up £24m on the same period last year.
Sales at its three key brands saw a 14% increase, with Simply Be securing the standout performance having reported a 21% increase.
Angela Spindler, chief executive, said: “We made significant ladieswear market share gains against what remains a subdued consumer backdrop. In line with other retailers, FX rates represent a headwind and this was particularly felt this half.
“Our transformation into a flexible, online retailer continues to benefit all aspects of our business and we are today sharing our three growth levers going forwards. These are continuing to gain share in the UK, growing internationally and working in partnership with other companies to offer even more choice to our customers.”
The group has now announced partnerships with Amazon Fashion for Simply Be and Jacamo, Namshi for Simply Be, and Debenhams for Jacamo, to sell capsule collections online.
