The Australian Swimwear Company, owners of Moontide swimwear, launched younger sister brand Piha at its European Sales Conference in London last week.
Piha, named after the famous surf beach in New Zealand was reportedly launched with great success in New Zealand and Australia last year.
The collection offers ‘flirty’ shapes and ‘fashionable’ prints at retail prices ranging from £38 – £56 per set.
UK agents Andy Wrench and Gary Watson of AWG brands reported that deliveries of Moontide swimwear for SS12 were 98 percent complete and on time, and that, despite the UK weather, the sell through had been ‘very encouraging with a decent level of repeat orders being placed’.
The Moontide SS13 collection contains a series of commercial prints, new shapes, larger cup sizes up to a G cup and the return of co-ordinating beachwear accessories.
Moontide and Piha will be exhibited at the London Swim show, from 15-17 July 2012, at the Radission Blu, Portman Hotel, the AIS lingerie and Swimwear show, from 24-26 July, in Solihull, and at Moda, from 12 -14 August, at The NEC in Birmingham.
AWG are also planning stockroom events in Glasgow and Devon in August. Details are yet to be confirmed.
