The intimate apparel shopping experience will take centre stage at the AW18 edition of Salon International de la Lingerie, set to take place in January.
Organisers said the show will take the form of a Parisian flagship store this season, where its design and installations offer “concrete tools” that are useful for buyers.
“Supporting the transformation of retail outlets to better suit the needs of new consumers is the major issue this session,” said Eurovet.
“Today, shopping is no longer a utilitarian purchasing process; rather, it responds to a search for sensations and emotions, a yearning to experience this in a meaningful setting, and a desire to socialise and have fun. It becomes a stand-alone activity that can be entertaining, educational, beautiful, or a lovely escape: here, we’re dealing with ‘fun shopping’, ‘retailtainment’, or the ‘shopping experience’.”
As part of this season’s theme, SIL will open an ‘inspirations and coaching space’ where four trends are presented across four boutiques – The Shop, The Pop-up Store, The Concept Store and The Online Assortment.
The Shop will feature a ‘signature selection’ of trendy and timeless products from brands such as Adina Reay, Simone Pérèle, Lise Charmel, Varley, Aubade, Chantelle, Andres Sarda, Marjolaine and Else Lingerie.
The Pop-up Store will present a ‘cutting edge selection’ of surprising and ultra-creative capsule collections from boutique brands such as Murmur, Lyn Lingerie, Edge O’Beyond, Cisô Atelier and Undress Code.
The Concept Store, meanwhile, will unveil a ‘bold selection’ of influential and wellness-inspired collections from labels including Hesper Fox, Body & Clyde, Rossell England, Hanky Panky and Max Mara.
Finally, The Online Assortment will present an ‘on-point selection’ of classic favourites and adaptable products from brands including Nubian Skin, Hanro, Mey Bodywear, Anita, Berlei, Eberjey and Wacoal.
More than 400 brands are expected to gather at Salon International de la Lingerie, which will run from January 20-22 at Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles.
More show details to be revealed soon.
