Pants launches new flagship store in Manchester

Men’s designer underwear firm ‘Pants’ has launched a new flagship store in the heart of Manchester city centre.

Based in Manchester’s Arndale Market, the goal of the new store is to bring original designer labels from around the globe to one place on the high street.

‘Pants’ stocks a diverse range of brands, including Diesel, D&G, James Tudor, Oliver Sterling, Voi Jeans, AussieBum, and C-IN2.

It also offers a unique in-store loyalty scheme, called ‘Pants Points,’ which allows customers to save and redeem points against further pants purchases.

Discounts are accrued with each transaction and customers can even save to get a free pair from the store’s collection of products.

Pants UK Limited business development director Ashley Grumble said: “The modern fashion-savvy male knows that stylish and flattering underwear enhances their overall image and never before have consumers had such a variety of designer underwear labels to choose from. Whether it’s high-end luxury brands or stylish price-point products there is now real choice no matter what your personal budget. Gone are the days of plain and boring tighty-whities.

“When people feel the pinch they look to smaller, more affordable gifts and treats. Whether it’s a girl buying for a guy or simply a guy treating himself to something that compliments his outfit – a stylish nice fitting pair of sexy boxers or briefs is a perfect choice.”

The business, which was recently awarded Business of the Year 2012 in the region’s Pride of Tameside Business Awards, was founded in 2010 with a £500 grant from Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council and was previously trading in Manchester’s Afflecks Palace.

This latest move for the company sees the retailer broaden its product base, thereby increasing the choice of brands for its existing customers and providing further reason for new customers to visit the central Manchester store.
