Panache Lingerie Australia distributor Karen Edbrooke said: “It has been a great three days for us. We had expected a quieter show due to the soft retail market but have found that, in addition to seeing our regular customers, we also secured a considerable number of new accounts.”

With reported back to back appointments each day, Edbrooke expects a lot of follow up post fair.

She added: “We’ve had a phenomenal response to the collection and a healty number of orders, however many of our buyers do prefer to order after the event so we are expecting a busy week next week.”

Best sellers for the season included Paloma in black and orange, the brand’s swimwear range and its its basics selection.

Edbrooke said: “I guess this is where the current economic climate shows itself as we have had a huge number of orders which include basic lines. It seems to be a real trend this season for both our regulars and our new accounts.”
