An Oxfordshire lingerie boutique will close its doors for the last time, after 81 years of trading.
Marie Boutique is expected to shut next month after its owner, Amanda Prior, was unable to find a potential buyer to build on its longstanding heritage.
Its website, Pure Marie, will also cease trading.
Marie was established in 1936 as a traditional corsetry and underwear shop in Abingdon, and has evolved into a destination boutique and website for lingerie, fashion and accessories from around the globe.
Over the years, the business has established a loyal customer base, through a dedicated and specialist bra fitting service.
After 30 years at the helm, Prior is looking forward to spending more time with her family, whilst manager Verity Robinson will be moving onto a new challenge near her home in Winchester, the company said in a statement.
