New online intimate apparel store Zivame has launched this month in India.
The retailer offers products from brands such as Jockey, Triumph, Lovable, Bw!tch, Amante, Hollywood Fashion Secrets and Enamor.
Zivame founder and chief executive Richa Kar said: "We are focused on providing fast, friendly and reliable service, while at the same time offering all the top brands that every Indian woman’s lingerie closet needs.
“We know that our customers don’t want to spend their time looking at ten different lingerie stores, and then wondering what they are going to end up with. At Zivame, we guarantee that our customers will be satisfied when that purchase shows up on their doorstep. We know how hard it can be to get quality customer service, we are here to change that."
Zivame features over 200 lingerie styles to choose from, including bridal lingerie, plus size lingerie, everyday wear, shapewear, lounge wear, nightwear and swimwear. It also offers ‘inexpensive’ fast shipping and claims to have a customer-friendly, hassle-free return and refund policy.
Customers can browse by category, brand, colour, and size and even choose lingerie by identifying what they want to wear it beneath. Zivame has also sought to replicate the offline shopping experience by offering detailed product pages with in-depth descriptions and images, in an attempt to enable users to understand the look and feel of a piece of lingerie.
Zivame’s Fitting Room, hosted by in-house fitters Zoe and Zia, and stylists, offers bra fitting guidelines and styling consultations to help each Indian woman choose the right lingerie to suit the mood, occasion and outfit.
"We offer a shopping experience that’s both private and convenient so even men can shop with ease," Kar added. "Our low overhead and great working relationships with our brand partners allows us to be aggressive with our pricing. We have a hassle-free return policy; we want our customers to come back. We want them to look to Zivame when they shop for lingerie."
In the next five years, Zivame plans to expand its portfolio of products for women. In the next year or two, it will be seeking to introduce premium international brands in the women’s apparel and accessories category.
