Notnaked.co.uk has been announced as one of three winners of the Local Business Accelorators competition, backed by Dragon’s Den panellist Deborah Meaden.
Spearheaded by the Newspaper Society and supported by almost 500 local publications, the competition searches for the nation’s most promising young businesses.
It aims to help them accelerate their success with top professional advice from local business mentors, plus a substantial allocation of free advertising space in their local publication.
One business, picked from amongst the hundred of regional winners, will gain individual mentoring sessions from Deborah Meaden, who will act as a consultant and mentor to the firm for one year.
The panel included Anglia Newspapers publishing director David Dixon, West Norfolk Chamber of Commerce president Heather Garrod, Lloyds TSB commercial senior manager Carl Woodwards, and Norfolk and Waveney Enterprise Services business adviser Paul Gardner.
Notnaked.co.uk is run by Simon and Michelle Pickett out of Heachem.
The business, which was started 18 month’s ago and sells high street lingerie at discounted prices, one of three winners in its local area.
The others included shoe retailer Igloo Shoes and renewable energy company Electra-Mek.
