Lingerie Insight is pleased to announce that the application process for the 2014 UK Lingerie Awards has officially opened.
Brands and retailers can now nominate themselves for accolades via the Awards’ website, which has undergone a revamp.
From there, entrants can learn about previous winners and key partners, view galleries and download application forms.
To apply, entrants will be asked to send one application form, one submission pack (including lookbooks and other supporting materials) and one sample of product per category entered.
The UK Lingerie Awards offer an opportunity for influential designers, boutiques and department stores to be recognised for the extraordinary work they have done over the last year and to celebrate the glowing reputation and development of the industry in a tough economic environment.
Event director Andrew Martyniuk commented: “The UK Lingerie Awards is the most authoritative measure of success for brands and retailers operating in the UK today. It is also a fantastic party that the industry and the lingerie-loving public look forward to all-year-round.”
There are 21 Award categories this year, 16 of which will be judged by an illustrious panel of experts over two days. They will meet in Central London next month to assess the entries and choose their winners.
The public will then have their say on the winners of three highly sought-after gongs, voting for which will open in November. These are: The UK’s Favourite Lingerie Brand, The UK’s Favourite Retailer and the UK’s Favourite Lingerie Designer.
Lingerie Insight will also honour an industry veteran with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
After creating a global media storm in 2013, the UK Lingerie Awards will return to Covent Garden’s Freemason’s Hall for a second year, where industry professionals, celebrities and consumers will congregate for a glamorous party on December 3.
Guests will be wined, dined and entertained, and brands will get the chance to interact directly with their customers and raise brand awareness among consumers.
“The spectacular party takes place on December 3, but the hard work has already started, and we urge intimate apparel brands and retailers to prepare top notch nominations ahead of the judging process. Being considered by the judges is a victory in itself, because the panel comprises some of the country’s most respected buyers and industry figures,” added Martyniuk.
“The Awards have become a massive publicity opportunity for the intimate apparel community. Celebrities jostle to be seen on the red carpet, which in turn attracts media attention from all the female-friendly newspapers, magazines and web sites. Coverage of the 2013 UK Lingerie Awards reached a world-wide audience of millions.”
Lingerie Insight editor Sarah Blackman said: “I would advise any lingerie company to enter the UK Lingerie Awards for a chance to be recognised for their hard work and dedication over the past year.”
