A new video charts the evolution of women’s underwear over 100 years.

The three-minute video by Glamour magazine shows a model dressed in trends from 1925 until the present day.

In the clip, she tries on a lace ‘step-in slip’ from the 1920s, boxer-style French knickers from the 1930s, silk bloomers from the 1940s, a girdle and bullet bra from the 1950s, nylon briefs from the 1960s, a thong body suit from the 1970s, high-cut briefs from the 1980s, 1990’s Calvin Kleins and Spanx shapewear from the noughties.

It explains that sales of thongs are decreasing in today’s market as millennials turn to full-form briefs.
