New swimwear label South Beach is set to launch at this month’s Moda trade show in Birmingham.
The company behind the brand has almost 60 years of experience in designing, producing and distributing fine, fashion-led garments and accessories, and supplies some of Europe’s biggest high street retailers.
The debut collection, which will enter stores in SS13, encompasses a series of classic bikini styles, decorated with sophisticated beadwork, jewel-encrusted brooches and pretty charms.
It focuses on three key trends: ‘Gypsy Summer’, ‘Americana’ and ‘Delicious’.
Gypsy Summer features a heady mix of dense print and strong colour. Vibrant ‘jazz’ pink and sharp ‘new’ blue accentuate busy butterfly patterns and oversized rose blooms. Scarf prints and hand-painted designs are evocative of brightly-decorated barges and horse-drawn wagons, peppering rural roads and canals during high summer.
The Americana trend pays homage to the traditional US with native and retro themes at its heart. Americana looks back to 1970s country with fringing, beading and tassels, given a modern edge with an energetic fusion of geometric Aztec and photographic print. This story is all about updating heritage Navajo and Western aesthetics for the bohemian party girl of today.
Delicious celebrates what it means to be young and carefree with an emphasis on fun, flirty styles in a palette of sugar shades and neon brights. Conversational pop prints and patterns create a sweet yet quirky look.
The RRP for a two piece bikini set starts from £25.
