New Look launches Curvy Kate online

High street fashion chain New Look has announced that it will be stocking the UK Lingerie Awards 2011 Full Bust Brand of the Year winner, Curvy Kate.

Bought as an online offer, the D plus lingerie collection is one of a handful of branded ranges available on the New Look ecommerce site.

The retailer will be stocking the brand’s bestselling continuity pieces Princess and Portia, and its new everyday collection, Daily Boost.

The range by Curvy Kate is available from D cup sizes to fit the younger, fashion driven market, up to a HH cup. Back sizes are also available from a 30 to 38.

Social media will play a big part in the brand’s launch strategy with retweet and Facebook competitions in place over the introduction period.

Curvy Kate has seen its social media base grow by 870 percent over the past 12 months, partially driven by the brand’s Star in a Bra model search completion.

New clothing buyer for online brands Sarah Ashley said: “New Look sees over 4 million visits per week on the website but we are continually looking to broaden our market. To do this we are expanding our offer and adding new interest, such as Curvy Kate. The ranges are a perfect fit for the New Look customer who demands fashion and the D to K cup sizes.”

Curvy Kate sales manager Seema Patel added: “With over 40 years in the fashion industry New Look have a great understanding of product and what will work for their customer. Their customer is fashion conscious but is also looking for quality and that’s why we believe our product will work so well online.

“Our fans are constantly looking for new retailers who stock the range and as many are already die-hard New Look fans it means they can shop for all their fashion essentials in one place.’
