NEW LAUNCH: Tisja Damen enters the UK market

Launching this month, Tisja Damen stands for outspoken designs with sensual structure, quality materials and strong storytelling. Its collections are created by hand in The Netherlands using materials sourced from France and Italy. Tisja Damen collections were previously made to order, but the brand quickly expanded into wholesale due to high demand.

Lingerie Insight: How would you describe your debut collection?
Tisja Damen: Fleurs Du Mal was my first lingerie collection, with pieces available through appointment or made-to-order. Inspired by the book Les Fleurs du Mal by Charles Baudelaire and dancer Pina Bausch, the pieces feature patchwork lace, silk satin and silk featuring our own unique print.

LI: Who are your target customers?
TD: Our customer values quality, craftsmanship and an outspoken design. She is also eager to show off some fragments of the gorgeous lingerie she wears underneath her clothes.

LI: What are your price points?
TD: Our designs fall into the high-end, luxury segment. We focus on using quality materials and creating beautiful lingerie that fits. Prices range from EUR19 (£16) for accessories to EUR589 (£501) for a bespoke kimono.

LI: What are the next steps for the brand?
TD: Our collection will be made available in a selection of boutiques worldwide. The next collections will feature more colours, more wired bras, and we will introduce more lingerie inspired by outerwear. We will also expand our size range to cater for the fuller-bust market. It’s an exciting time for us!
