Fuller-bust women of Cardiff will now be able to visit Bravissimo in the city’s main shopping complex after the lingerie, swimwear and nightwear retailer moved in over the weekend.

The new 3,978ft2 store, located in St David’s shopping centre, on the upper level of the Grand Arcade, replaces Bravissimo’s smaller branch at Queens Arcade shopping centre.

It boasts a new design concept, created to put customers at the heart of the in-store experience.

Customers are featured throughout the shop, through the display of photos and inspirational quotes. Additionally, each changing room has been named after a Bravissimo customer.

Bravissimo was created 22 years ago by founder and chief executive Sarah Tremellen, who at that time struggled to find a good choice of bras in her size.

Adamant that big-boobed women like herself deserved a better deal when buying lingerie, Tremellen started Bravissimo as a mail order company from her living room. The multi-million pound company now retails online, via mail order and at 28 UK high street locations.

“We opened our first shop in Cardiff ten years ago, so we have lots of loyal customers among the big boobed women of the city and beyond,” said Tremellen.

“When the location in St David’s became available, it was hard to resist. Designing the new store has given us a great opportunity to reflect the sense of community and fun within our brand.”
