M&S shares experience of international expansion

Lingerie retailers and brands with an eye on expanding internationally can learn from the successes and failures of Marks and Spencer in lecture from its head of logistics and retail next month.

Jeremy Cobbold has worked within within M&S for close to 20 years across the retail, finance and logistics divisions, where he has developed a deep understanding of retail supply chains across both UK and international markets.

On February 4 he is presenting an insight into international retailing as part of a series of alumni lectures hosted by the University of Westminster.

Cobbold will share his operational experience of Marks and Spencer – arguably the UK’s best know underwear institution.

He will explore some of the challenges and opportunities retailers face as they seek to expand on an international scale – what to sell, where to sell and how to get the product to the consumer.

The event takes place on Wednesday, 4 February at the University of Westminster, Fyvie Hall, 309 Regent Street, London W1B 2UW at 5.45pm for a 6pm start.
