Lourdes Hanimian, nicknamed Luli, founded the brand with her brother-in-law Augusto Hanimian in 2003.

Today, 40% of the brand’s sales are international, with products available in 600 stockists in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and South America.

Luli Fama also has an own-brand boutique in Florida.

The label is inspired by Lourdes’ Cuban roots and the beaches of Miami, where she grew up.

The designers use blues and greens from the ocean, sparking gold from the stars and the beauty of the natural world to create their collections.

The brand also works in collaboration with numerous artists every season to create exclusive prints with floral, aquatic, tribal, and tie dye themes.

Celebrity fans of the brand include Beyoncé, Jennifer Aniston, Shakira, Eva Longoria, and Kate Hudson.

Luli Fama will receive the award at the Mode City trade show, which will be held in Lyon on July 9-11.
