Moda will be presenting the AW12 lingerie and swimwear trends at next month’s trade show in Birmingham, from February 19 to 21.
The ‘Lingerie Trends A/W 12-13: Nations Rising’ forum will be led by Ben Harris from global trend forecasting agency Mudpie.
It will cover the latest developments in lingerie and swimwear, showcasing how increased exchange of design, innovation and sustainable initiatives with the Far East has led to new season designs ‘highlighting cultural diversity, technological developments and sustainable luxury’.
Other seminars taking place across the three-day event include ‘How to Drive Traffic to Your Online Store with a Multi-channel Experience.’ The talk, on February 19, will be given by Warren Knight, social commerce expert and founder of Gloople, the UK’s first ‘social sharing’ e-commerce platform.
Knight will seek to navigate retailers through this developing avenue of retail by sharing his knowledge on online store optimisation and analyses, driving traffic using the latest social commerce tools and how to design a monthly content marketing strategy ‘consumers will fall in love with’.
Antony Welfare, director of the Retail Inspector Ltd and author of the Retail Handbook will also be in attendance on Sunday with ‘Cash is King’, a seminar which will discuss the idea of cash management ultimately being the key to making or breaking a business. Welfare will explain that management of cash is critical to retail success and offering advice on how to master the art of financial management and how to truly understand the importance of cash.
Finally, retail consultant Clare Rayner, known as the ‘Retail Champion’, will explain how to develop robust and repeatable processes and systems to create a profit making enterprise. ‘Be a Retail Champion: 10 Steps to Retail Success’ will take place February 20 and will include several key themes, such as identifying the ideal customer, creating a range plan, setting up an effective back office and much more.
