Moda gets a boutique-style makeover

Moda Lingerie and Swimwear opened in Birmingham yesterday with an intimate new layout.

The show got off to a good start, with many brands and visitors reacting positively to its boutique-style makeover.

Unlike in previous seasons, the event is separated from Moda Woman and Accessories in its own dedicated buying space.

The entrance tunnel is Chanel-inspired, with white camellias hanging on black walls and purple drapes separating the hall from the catwalk area.

Charnos and Lepel sales and marketing director Peter Cronin welcomed the changes: “Relocating into a hall of our own gives the lingerie and swimwear sector its own space to flourish and will make the show feel more like a standalone event.”

This season’s show, which has opened at Birmingham’s NEC, welcomes back returning favourites including Lepel, Charnos, Wacoal, Fantasie, Freya, Panache, Cleo, Naomi & Nicole, Curvy Kate, DKNY and Maidenform.

Triumph has also made a return after a season away from the show.

Moda’s Intimate Ball will take place tonight at Resortworld, bringing the intimate sector’s leading retailers and suppliers together for a evening of food, drink and entertainment in aid of breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel!
