Miss Lejaby celebrates 1970s feminist movement

French lingerie brand Maison Lejaby is launching a contemporary new line inspired its 1970s heritage.

The Miss Lejaby collection pays homage to its first triangle, non-wired bra range named Liberty, which was launched during a time when women were burning their bras and campaigning for equality.

Capturing the feminist spirit, the brand offered a choice of six bright shades – a first in the history of lingerie.

“This Liberty range was revolutionary in the 70s and it was exciting to be able to delve into the brand’s archives and pull out past styles. We’re thrilled to be bringing back this popular line with a modern and considered update,” said creative director Pascale Renaux.

The Miss Lejaby collection features lace cups and hemstitched elastic bands that support the bust.

It is available in a choice of four bra shapes and three colours; black, sapphire blue and grosielle red.

The AW16 will roll into stores on September 1.
