Melas Group returns to Salon after four-year break

Melas Group, owner of hosiery brands Charnos, Jonathan Aston and Levante, will return to Salon International de la Lingerie this season after four years away from the show.

The decision follows the establishment of a European corporation to spearhead its move back into wider export markets.

Ambra Corporation Europe (ACE) will work with Melas Group and its owner Ambra Corporation of Australia to market new collections internationally.

ACE will establish direct sales to retailers in some countries and agents in others, and a number of discussions are underway to get the ball rolling.

The first agent for Poland has already been established. Aneta Szczepanska, formerly an export sales manager of Curvy Kate, has returned to Poland and established her agency operation

Commenting on the new initiative, Melas Group managing director John Roskalns said: “With Jonathan Aston being the leading fashion brand in hosiery and Ambra seamfree being the most commercial shapewear and seamfree underwear brand, coupled with the already established Charnos hosiery brand we have three treasures to share with the rest of the world – and are excited at the thought of doing so.”
