MatchesFashion ramps up sales operation with new distribution centre

Luxury lingerie retailer MatchesFashion is readying for an online sales operation expansion with the opening of a new London-based distribution centre.

The 500,000sqft unit, which is set to create 200 jobs, will open in 2018. With the new centre, MatchesFashion is looking to deliver within the capital in 90 minutes and improve its international delivery options.

The multi-channel retailer, which stocks global lingerie, nightwear and hosiery brands including Asceno, Coco de Mer, Falke, La Perla and Fleur of England, is opening a new centre near Heathrow designed to handle four million shipments by 2020.

The retailer, which currently employs 500 people, is reportedly looking to expand its offices.

Matchesfashion operates luxury boutiques in affluent London neighbourhoods including Wimbledon, Richmond, Notting Hill and Marylebone, as well as its successful online business, which was launched in 2006.
