The knickers have rolled out across the UK via a series of big department stores, but many independent retailers have struggled to find out how they can get their hands on some pairs of Kinky Knickers.
Now, for the first time, Mary Portas has released a contact address for independent retailers seeking more information about the products.
Stores that currently stock, or are set to stock, the product include ASOS, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer, Boots, Selfridges and Houser of Fraser.
However, the independent stores who play such a vital role in Portas’ bid to save the high street have not been able to access stock.
And, while independent retailers are now able to register their interest, there is no timeline on when they will actually be able to place orders on products.
The retail guru has reportedly been limited in her ambitions by a limited supply of UK stretch lace and factory trainees, though she has stated that she might be interested in taking other factories onboard.
Portas has already taken on two additional apprentices in order to meet the higher-than-expected demand.
