Marlies Dekkers and its investment partner Karmijn Kapitaal have appointed a new CEO.
Eppo van Berckelaer joins the company with business development, e-commerce and marketing management experience, after having worked for brands such as O’Neill and Coca Cola.
Marlies Dekkers will also appoint a new chief financial operating officer to complete the board of directors “in the near future”, the brand said in a statement yesterday.
Van Berckelaer commented: “I feel great pride in serving a strong Dutch brand with such extensive international stature. I am also very much looking forward to working with Marlies Dekkers, an inspiring woman who has a creative vision that has touched the hearts and souls of women all over the world."
The news comes as Marlies Dekkers focuses on its ecommerce business to pursue growth after being declared bankrupt last year and restarting with private equity investor Karmijn Kapitaal.
The label is promoting a web portal that will allow retailers to buy their stock on time, at any time.
Creative director Marlies Dekkers said: “This company needs a passionate CEO who is able to execute our new strategic course based on his knowledge, experience and personal vision.”
“Eppo and I find each other in our ideas about how to extend the marliesIdekkers brand. As our personalities fit, we will form a strong team. Moreover, our individual fields of expertise complement each other perfectly. I am very much looking forward to our co-operation,” she added.
