Marks & Spencer has appointed two interim directors of lingerie and womenswear to replace outgoing clothing and beauty director, Jo Jenkins.
The retailer’s head of lingerie buying Laura Charles will take responsibility for her department, while M&S style director Belinda Earl will head up the womenswear and beauty departments until a permanent replacement is found, reports Drapers.
Both directors will take on the additional responsibilities with immediate effect and will report to clothing, home and beauty director Jill McDonald, who joined the company in October.
Jenkins is currently working her notice and will join British fashion and lifestyle brand White Stuff as CEO this summer.
Commenting on her departure, which was announced in October, M&S said in a statement: “We’re delighted for Jo – she’s been a real talent here at M&S, which is reflected in the progress she has made both professionally and for the business.”
“Becoming CEO at a company like White Stuff is a natural next step for her. We wish her all the very best with her new role.”
