MAKAN debuts spring/summer swimwear line

Luxury swimwear label MAKAN is debuting its new MONO collection for spring/summer 2013.

Created by British designer Melissa Makan, who launched the eponymous prêt-à-porter label in March 2013, the line aims to provide consumers with refined one-piece swimsuits made from the finest materials.

Thanks to precise fit, bold designs and 360-degree body contour, the MONO collection represents a new era in swimsuit tailoring. Each suit is made from fine Italian materials and designed to work with, not against, the movements of the wearer’s body.

Some pieces in the line contain hidden bras for extra support and every suit is handmade. A combination of retro-inspired cuts, striking colours and Swarovski embellishments lends the line a touch of old-fashioned glamour. The suits are also designed for a diverse array of body types and retail between £225 and £310.
