Maison Lejaby will present some exclusive pieces from its 130 year-old archive at the reopening of Rigby & Peller’s Knightsbridge store this week.
For one night only, the French brand will display a Swarovski pearl-encrusted body worth £25,000 and a tutu designed by former Paris opera ballet dancer Agnès Letestu in the shop’s windows.
The tutu, which took 150 hours to make, was last seen at Maison Lejaby’s 130th anniversary fashion show at the Lido, Paris in May 2014.
The presentation is part of Rigby & Peller’s desire to celebrate ‘the art of lingerie’ as it reopens its revamped Knightsbridge store.
The flagship is now set across two floors, with six luxury fitting rooms and a private shopping area.
Rigby & Peller has also updated its made-to-measure service by installing a 3D mirror with pioneering body-scan technology.
One hundred people, including customers, editors and VIPs, have been invited to attend the launch party on June 3.
