The fabric technology company Lycra has used its no-run fabric technology to create LYCRA®FUSION™ tights, and announced a competition to launch the product.
The fabric’s bonding technology means that customers can cut holes into their tights without fear of running or ripping, allowing different colours and textures to be layered on top of each other.
The fibre innovation is based on ‘bi-component technology’, in which the outer layer of the fibres fuse to each other during the tights’ thermofixation process, keeping the knitting structure intact even when holes are made.
The tights are currently available in the UK at www.mytights.com in black, grey, purple, brown, navy and burgundy, priced at £12.
LYCRA®FUSION™ and Mytights.com have launched a competition to promote the product, with a prize of a LYCRA®FUSION™ hosiery gift box and a £100 Mytights.com voucher, in which customers can upload images of themselves wearing their own customised tights to Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter or by email.
