Luxury heritage brand Lucile has opened its first London showroom in the exclusive Bermondsey Street.
The showroom is situated moments from The Shard and opposite the Fashion and Textile Museum, where original Lucile pieces and sketch books dating back to 1880 are on display.
Lucile collections have, up until now, been available by private appointment at the luxury members club Home House in Portman Square. This service will continue.
Camilla Blois, the great-great granddaughter of Lucile founder, Lady Duff Gordon, commented: “We are thrilled to be here in Bermondsey Street, we love the street, and having original Lady Duff Gordon and Lucile dresses across the road from the LFM is just fantastic. The label has been growing rapidly by word of mouth and we can now extend the Lucile following much further.”
All Lucile collections are handmade in England, in both London and Derbyshire, where the patterns are created.
Lucile private fittings will now take place in the Bermondsey Street showroom, where clients can browse all the collections and patterns.
