Amazon UK has topped a list of the top performing online retailers in February 2015.
The company, which partnered with Ann Summers in December and stocks several lingerie brands, including Gossard, Triumph and Princesse Tam Tam, claimed the number 1 spot in the latest IMRG Top Retailer Ranking.
Other lingerie retailers to top the list include Tesco, a none-mover at number 4; Marks & Spencer, ranked 7th in the list; and Next, which fell one place to position 10.
New Look dropped eight places to position 30, while Asos fell five places to position 15.
House of Fraser, which was ranked 29th in the list, was among the fastest risers, climbing eight places in February.
IMRG chief information officer Tina Spooner commented: “It appears the apparel sector suffered last month with a number of fashion brands lower down the list compared with the same month last year – online clothing sales were also weak during February with year-on-year growth reaching just 4%, compared with 20% in February 2014. However, if we look at smartphone and tablet traffic there are some fashion brands – such as ASOS and Very – that continue to perform very strongly on those devices.”
The IMRG Top 50 Retailer Ranking is published quarterly and tracks visitors based on comScore’s MMX online audience measurement technology of those selling goods and services within the IMRG Capgemini Index Classification.
This list is based on UK visitors from desktops and laptops in February 2015.
