Lingerie retailer creates media buzz over traffic-stopping window campaign

An independent lingerie retailer based in Lincoln has caught the attention of the national media after causing a stir with its latest window campaign.

Claire Woodall, the owner of Lincoln Bra Lady, hoped to promote her business when she placed a sticker of a model wearing Marie Jo lingerie in a window above her shop, and she certainly got her wish when a picture of the sticker went viral.

The image was posted on Facebook by local resident John Horton, who joked that the sticker was distracting drivers in the area.

“Almost every day, Lincs FM reports slow-moving traffic at Hykeham crossroads. I think I may have discovered why,” he wrote.

Woodall welcomed the coverage, explaining that it has raised people’s awareness of her business.

“It has caused quite a stir and got local people talking about the shop and their take on the image on the sticker,” she told Lingerie Insight.

“With the talk, it is widening local people’s awareness of the shop location and what we do. Our loyal FB followers have all commented or liked the post, which means in turn their friends see the post. This can only raises awareness and promote the business.”
