The founder of the Lingerie Outlet Store, a multi-million pound e-tailer based in Swindon, has been selected to judge this year’s eBay for Business Awards.
Clare Haines will sit on the judge’s panel alongside other esteemed business professionals, including Steve Oliver, CEO of musicMagpie and Rob Hattrell, vice president of eBay UK.
The Lingerie Outlet launched nine years ago and now sells on eBay, Amazon as well as its own website. The majority of sales are in the UK, but its also sells to the US, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal and Poland.
The firm, which now employs 23 staff, is part of the strongest growing category on eBay UK by business registration.
The Lingerie Outlet store has secured a new location and is looking to open its doors in October. The company is also launching its revamped website this week.
The eBay Business Awards is looking for small creative businesses for a series of unique awards that will recognise the top talent on eBay – and the businesses yet to get online too.
Two grand prize winners will win £5,000 each, and a trip for them and one guest including flights and accommodation to US to meet the senior eBay team. The six runners-up will each win £1,000.
Businesses must enter by midnight on August 13 and must be contactable on September 11, when eBay will be notifying the winners by telephone.
