Large-cup bra label Curvy Kate and Swedish underwear brand Björn Borg are among those vying for this year’s Drapers Awards.
Curvy Kate has been shortlisted in the Womenswear Brand of the Year Category, alongside G-Star Raw and Motel, while Björn Borg is hoping to beat Lipsy and Ruby Rocks to the post to walk away with the Young Fashion Brand of the Year award.
The shortlisted brands will now be reviewed by a panel of judges, including Miles Gray, former chief executive of Ben Sherman, and Rob Templeman, chairman of the British Retail Consortium.
Curvy Kate marketing director Hannah Houston commented: “We are overwhelmed and excited to be nominated for this prestigious award. It is fantastic to be recognised for our efforts, not just in the lingerie sector but as a womenswear brand, especially seeing the talented companies we are competing against.”
The Drapers Awards 2013 gala dinner will be held on November 21 at the Old Billingsgate, London.
