Lingerie Insight will launch as a tablet magazine within weeks, the magazine’s parent company has announced.
The April issue of Lingerie Insight will be the first to be made available on tablets and smartphones including iPads, iPhones, Android-based smartphones and tablets, and Windows-based smartphones and tablets.
The mobile version will be in addition to the print publication circulated free of charge to 4000 industry professionals every month; and Lingerieinsight.com, which welcomed 296,000 unique visitors in the past year.
"We have huge confidence in the potential of the British intimate apparel market," said Gemma Champ, editor of Lingerie Insight.
"The addition of digital editions for smartphones and tablets will take Lingerie Insight global – helping hugely talented British brands forge relationships around the world, and highlighting the expertise of UK retailers to multinational brands," she added.
Technical details are being finalised for the mobile digital editions, along with arrangements to place the title on world-wide sale via the Apple Newstand and equivalents for Android and Windows devices.
"This is exciting news for advertisers as well," said Andrew Martyniuk, group commercial manager for Lingerie Insight. "We will initially be adding all adverts booked into our print magazine into the digital editions free of charge, plus they will be interactively linked to clients’ web sites, so they can expect even greater impact for their marketing," he added.
Lingerieinsight.com is the largest intimate apparel web site in the UK, generating 1.2 million page views from 296,000 unique visitors in the past year.
