Held on February 22, Lingerie Fashion Weeks’s debut season was staged over two days in New York, showing six luxury lingerie brands in a series of presentations and runway shows.
The brands taking part were offered two venues to choose from at the Metropolitan Pavilion, The Gallery which offered a white washed space for presentations and the Metropolitan Suite for runway shows.
The Gallery also played host to the guest check-in as well as "The Boudoir" sponsor lounge, which included a press lounge, a hydrating SmartWater lounge, gift suite (showcasing the LingerieFW official gift gag), and Dry Bar featuring the events hair/makeup partner, The Temple.
LingerieFW founder & director Lauren Rich said: "It is safe to say intimate apparel has successfully staked its claim as a power player in the greater fashion industry, and as such deserves a high visibility, influential platform to collectively give its growing force of brands their due voice.
“The goal of LingerieFW is to give this voice to the hundreds of beautiful, innovative intimates designers & brands via a channel not only reaching industry but also the consumer – spotlighting & elevating the industry as a whole. Through LingerieFW, we want to make lingerie & intimates designers household names just as their womenswear counterparts are.”
Each season LingerieFW is open to both emerging & established brands worldwide within the following categories: lingerie, loungewear, sleepwear, shapewear, hosiery, lingerie solutions, lingerie accessories, men’s underwear, men’s sleepwear and men’s loungewear.
