Large-cup label Curvy Kate and lingerie retailers Dolci Follie, Mish and Jarrold are among those vying for this year’s Drapers Awards.
British brand Curvy Kate has been shortlisted in the Womenswear Brand of the Year category for the second year running, while Jarrold is up for the Independent Department Store of the Year Award.
Notting Hill-based boutique, Dolci Follie, is one of two independent lingerie retailers to be shortlisted in this year’s awards, receiving a nod for Niche Fashion Retailer of the Year. And online boutique Mish is hoping to beat clothing and footwear retailers, including Collectif and Shoetique, to pick up the Best Independent Multichannel Operator Award.
Curvy Kate marketing director Hannah Houston commented: "Curvy Kate are thrilled to be nominated for a Drapers Independent Award. As newcomers to the industry, it’s fantastic to be recognised by the fashion segment for our achievements and the growth we’ve seen since the launch. We are up against some strong, influential brands and are happy to be named alongside these top players."
The shortlisted brands will now be reviewed by a panel of judges, including Index London partner Kevin Stone and Shelley Stock Hunter fashion accountant Bobby Lane.
The Drapers Awards 2014 gala dinner will be held on September at East London’s The Brewery.
