Scantilly by Curvy Kate has partnered with Mills & Boon, the UK’s romantic fiction specialist to launch Scantilly Tales, a romantic flash-fiction competition for women wanting to uncover their hidden writing talents and unleash their seductive side this autumn.
Scantilly Tales is a series of steamy short stories that follow a sexy female character as she receives six seductive packages from a mysterious figure, according to the brand.
Six tantalising tales will be released throughout the months of October and November with the final tale left unfinished. To take part in the flash fiction competition, fans will be asked to use their writing prowess to submit the remainder of the sixth story and to ultimately decide how the sexy series will end.
Entries will be judged by an expert panel including a best-selling Mills & Boon author, Scantilly Brand Manager Hannah Isichei and a Mills & Boon editor, Charlotte Mursell. The complete Scantilly Tales will be published as a free special Valentine’s edition e-book by Mills & Boon, along with extra material commissioned from Mills & Boon authors.
In addition, the winner will receive coveted lingerie sets from the new Scantilly range, a £150 gift voucher from Figleaves.com plus a Mills and Boon Goodie Bag.
Hannah Isichei, brand manager at Scantilly, says: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Mills & Boon, a brand synonymous with all things romance. Scantilly Tales is a really exciting way for our customers to engage with the Scantilly brand and realise their own creative potential at the same time.”
Jo Kite, marketing manager at Mills & Boon, comments “It’s always exciting to see a new brand embracing its seductive side and Scantilly certainly does that in such a stylish way. We know there is a wealth of new writing talent just waiting to be discovered and Scantilly Tales is the perfect way to unleash that creativity.”
The unfinished sixth tale will be published on Saturday 14 November and budding writers will have until November 29 to come up with the conclusion. The winner will be announced on release of the ebook in January 2016.
