Lingerie Insight will host a Best-Dressed competition at the 2012 UK Lingerie Awards that take place next week.
A case of champagne will be awarded to the winner, who will be chosen by a public vote hosted on the Lingerie Insight Facebook page.
All the pictures from the UK Lingerie Awards will appear online at lingerieinsight.com and the Facebook page in the days following the glittering party.
Paparazzi photographers will also be flanking the red carpet to capture pictures for OK! and New magazine as well as other consumer magazines and newspapers.
“This is the most important night of the year for the UK lingerie industry, and by far the most glamorous. The Best Dressed competition is really just a bit of fun on the night, but it does also generate massive excitement on the social media networks as people encourage their friends and followers to vote for them,” said Marianne Trotta, sales executive for Lingerie Insight and the UK Lingerie Awards.
“This excitement gives a huge boost to the leading brands and retailers of the UK lingerie industry. It is one of the ways in which the Awards help drive up awareness and sales of branded lingerie in a market that remains stubbornly attached to buying underwear from supermarkets or low end fashion stores,” said Kat Slowe, editor of Lingerie Insight. “It is our stated mission to support Britain’s branded lingerie suppliers and retailers, and the UK Lingerie Awards is the highest peak of our year-round activity,” she added.
The UK Lingerie Awards takes place at One Mayfair on Wednesday, September 19. Coverage of the Awards will be in the social pages of OK! and New magazine, online at lingerieinsight.com and in the October edition of Lingerie Insight.
