DMU graduate Leanne Brooke has closed her own label, Obey My Demand, and joined new brand Something Wicked as head designer.
The luxury lingerie and pleasure product company is set to debut this month and already has a big following on social media, where it has held a series of competitions in the run up to the launch.
Brooke made a name for herself following the launch of her debut leather lingerie collection worn by celebrities including Lady Gaga, Alesha Dixon and Holly Willoughby.
She won New Designer of the Year at the 2011 UK Lingerie Awards, along with a whole host of design accolades.
Brooke said: “I’ve pulled back on my own brand at the moment to focus on my collection for Something Wicked. The new range will be exclusively available through Something Wicked… I get to do all the creative bits whilst the team at Something Wicked handles the business side, which works well for me.
“I think working with Something Wicked is going to be fantastic because obviously I work a lot with leather. We are also bringing out other leather items, again to be released at a later date. The next stage is building my portfolio and I am one of these girls that love to do anything and everything. I don’t want to just stick to one niche. I do like to do different pieces so I think yes, as whole; I’d love to work on so many different projects.
She added: “The collection is Something Wicked, and the branding on the product is going to be Something Wicked. My brand name is going to be included, so Obey My Demand will still be present within the garments. It’s Obey My Demand, but exclusively for Something Wicked.”
