LCF student wins Coco de Mer design competition

A student from the London College of Fashion will see her lingerie designs sold in boudoir boutique Coco de Mer after impressing the retailer with her work.

Coco de Mer opened a competition to all second-year Fashion Contour students, who were briefed to design a luxurious and erotic nightwear collection for AW16.

The designs were presented to managing director Lucy Litwack in December, before Florence Morris Clarke was chosen as the winner.

“We felt that Florence demonstrated a clear understanding of the Coco de Mer brand and produced a range that perfectly encapsulated our vision,” said Litwack.

“Her concept was carefully considered and her samples showed a talent for both the creative and technical aspects of lingerie design. Florence will be interning for us in her placement year and we are excited to work with such incredible young talent."

Clarke’s fellow students Yuk Chan and Ruth Schechner were named runners up, while Celine Marie, Millie Watt and Sam Lucas were highly recommended.
