LASCANA goes international

German lingerie and swimwear brand LASCANA has launched its first international campaign which sees the brand searching for twelve new faces to be part of its 2014 lingerie calendar.

"Due to increasing internationalisation, it was time to meet the requests of many retailers and bring the campaign requirements of our home market in line with those of our international partners. As a consequence, a suitable all-year campaign was developed which is based on an international model contest,“ explained Jens Fehnders, LASCANA founder and Managing Director.

"In twelve countries, primarily markets LASCANA is already operating in, we are looking for twelve candidates. They are to present LASCANA items and their respective country of origin in the next Christmas campaign and will each grace one of the pages of the exclusive lingerie calendar 2014.“

The new campaign hopes to reflect the diverse nature of the brand, which offers a broad selection of swimwear and lingerie in a range of sizes, and are hoping to find similarly individual new faces to be part of the calendar from across the world. Past models have included Victoria Silvstedt from Sweden, Selita Ebanks from the Cayman Islands and Irina Shayk from Russia.

The campaign first launched in Germany on March 19, 2013, where the Model Contest Microsite went live and the castings were announced in the new catalogue, which featured Sara Nuru, the winner of Germany’s Next Top Model.

Sarah Rissen, Manager LASCANA Marketing and Model Booking commented: "We look forward to applicants who, besides meeting the traditional modelling requirements such as height, figure and ability to move naturally in front of a camera, also reflect the LASCANA brand values such as sensuality and an open and friendly appearance.“

Interested candidates can enter the model contest by filling out the application form online and uploading pictures. The closing date for applications is August 5, 2013.

The candidate with the most Facebook Likes will also get a wildcard to Hamburg. The final selection of the twelve winners by the Jury will be held at a live casting at the end of September in Hamburg.
