Emerging lingerie brand Lara Intimates has expanded its product portfolio with a nursing bra designed in response to customer feedback.
The sustainable lingerie label, which was founded by two fashion contour students from London College of Fashion earlier last year, manufactures its lingerie in London’s Soho in small batches to reduce stock waste and enable the company to react quickly to what consumers demand.
The designers met with an influential blogger for a fitting a few month ago and has gone on to develop a nursing bra off the back of this encounter and the reaction that followed.
Co-founder, Cindy Liberman, told Lingerie Insight: “Blogger Eimear Varian Barry came by the studio for a fitting. She was pregnant and requested we make a nursing bra for her. We posted about it on Instagram saying ‘we made a custom nursing bra for Eimear.’ Suddenly we were flooded with dozens of requests for nursing bras, so we decided to make it a part of our range.”
The nursing bra, The Baby Bra, is an adapted version of the brand’s wireless triangle mesh bra, The Coral Bra.
The apex is fitted with a gold popper that unsnaps to feed a baby and will be available in 28A-36E and soon in F and G cups as well.
The newly-designed product will be available on March 22 in light pink and black.
