Lancashire lingerie label hopes its luck is in

A young Lancashire-based lingerie label will find out this evening if it has won a local business award for the creativity it has shown in the market.

Raine & Bea is a finalist in no less than three categories of the 2015 Ribble Valley Business Awards, including the ‘Most Creative Business’ award, ‘Made in the Ribble Valley’ award and the ‘Bowland Bio Energy’ award.

The lingerie label has been making a name for itself in the north-west and is hoping that its efforts will be formally recognised this evening when the awards ceremony takes place at the Mytton Fold Hotel in Langho.

“The timing of the awards couldn’t be better,” explained founder and designer Jenna Barnes. “We’ve recently been featured in the local press and we have the launch of the Raine & Bea dress range this month.”

The label was founded two years ago and produces luxurious lingerie that combines vintage designs with modern appeal. Its collections are known for the use of silks, textured fabrics, ostrich feathers and Swarovski crystals.

Whatever happens this evening, Raine & Bea has plenty of things to look forward to including a fashion show at Brady’s Wine Bar in Whalley on October 22.

“The evening will showcase Raine & Bea’s past and present collections, including the 2016 Spring/Summer range ‘Curtains Up’,” said Barnes. “This is alongside our new dress range that features our signature looks that tie in with our ‘underwear as outerwear’ ethos perfectly.”
