L'Agent launches first-ever swimwear collection

L’Agent by Agent Provocateur has launched its first full swimwear collection for AW15.

The capsule collection, designed in collaboration with L’Agent ambassadors Penelope and Monica Cruz, is inspired by American skater girls from California to Las Vegas.

It features sporty, yet skimpy swimwear in bold block colours, alongside matching cover-ups.

Highlights include a strappy, cut-out swimsuit in hot pink, a 70’s-inspired halter style bikini that lifts and flatters the cleavage and an open mesh, racer-back dress with fringe detailing.

Lingerie Insight previously reported that the new range will be stocked in L’Agent stores, online at lagentbyap.com and on Net A Porter in July 2016, but the launch has since been brought forward.

Agent Provocateur CEO Garry Hogarth said at the time that the success of AP swimwear has led the company to expand in this area.

“Swimwear is growing incredibly fast, from virtually nothing a few years ago to just over 12% of our business,” he told Lingerie Insight in an exclusive interview.

“We opened our first AP swimwear concession in Harrods a few months ago and that’s doing incredibly well, so that something we might look at doing [with L’Agent] in the future as well. Swimwear is something Penelope and Monica are particularly keen on – they love swimwear.”
