La Perla pioneers luxury try-before-you-buy service

La Perla has launched a try-before-you-buy service, allowing clients the convenience of an at-home-fitting without the need to pay anything upfront.

A first for the luxury market, the service has launched online in the US, the UK and the rest of Europe.

The facility is designed to make it easier for consumers to try on multiple sizes and experiment with styles in the comfort of their own homes.

Shoppers on the La Perla website can select theTry & Buy” icon and no charges will be made to the customer’s card until they decide they want to make a purchase, or until after their 48-hour session has expired.

La Perla creative director Julia Haart said: “What we do at La Perla is design our pieces from the inside out. We use our lingerie expertise to put bras in our clothing and tailor garments to enhance figures perfectly. Helping our customer discover their perfect fit is our main priority and Try & Buy provides the freedom to do this in the comfort of their own home. It is a remarkable way to bring the world of La Perla closer to the customer.”

Try & Buy was conceived to reshape the way customers engage with luxury products online. La Perla found that clients craved physical experiences, not because they can’t access products online but because of an instinctive desire to interact with garments in a visceral way.
